508–510 KF, in detail
| Date (KF) | Event |
|---|---|
| Dies Perditae (day ~3), Closing out 508 KF | Erindor II: start of the Wildling War. Chaos-infused wildlings and horned demons assault the northern border, ravaging the Wildling northlands. Sir Otto becomes the new sheriff of the Questcamp. Heavy attacks are repelled under his command. Mage Elias completes his trials under Sir Elmer and Mage Dorian, but is soon after smashed into a tree by a roaming monster and retires to the Schola, no longer fit for fieldwork. A nightmarish hare-like beast, the Visiondrix, plagues the Northern Silverwoods, plunging villages into shared nightmares, before being contained and vanishing. Most blame the lost days themselves, when the barrier between worlds runs thin and monsters are born. |
| 1 Oclun, 510 KF | Erindor III: end of the Wildling War. Full-blown war erupts; a rare alliance is struck with the Wildlings at the Questcamp; a bloody but victorious border battle follows. A demonic remnant of the enemies army threatens Oakhaven, Sir Theron of House Heartflame defends it with minimal loss and is named “The Hero of Oakhaven” (a statue is later raised in his honour). An evil sorcerous demon and his warband are hunted into the Silverwoods mid-ritual, Venator Morgan Longstride, leads the charge and delivers the final blow, but the ritual partially succeeds, corrupting a piece of land now known as “The Chaos Spot.” That same evening, a necromantic surge sweeps the Silverwoods and further into the northren Wildlands. the necromantic surge, raised the dead and the village of Thistlebrook is ravaged. The surge’s origin is traced near the Questcamp and the Order dispatches an official Royal Investigator. Ser Theron Heartflame returns to the Heartlands. |
| 8 Oclun, 510 KF (one week after Erindor III) | Mage Dorian’s Quest North. Dorian, still cursed and plagued by his ilness, heads north for fresh werewolf samples, accompanied by Venator Morgan Longstride, Venator Nunskat, and Justicar Ser Gruff of House Brakket. |
| ~22 Oclun, 510 KF | The expedition returns: the northern wildling lands lie ruined, the necromantic wave has raised a full undead horde, now being claimed by necromancers and marching further north, endangering the remaining clans. Mage Dorian secures fresh samples and appears to have found a more lasting cure for lycanthropy. |
| ~26 Oclun, 510 KF (a few days after Dorian’s mission) | The Resurgence of the Weave. The Codex of Domains is discovered in the ruins of the old Schola Arcanis. Magic is reframed as five primal Domains rather than one force; Chaos is redefined as raw, untamed magic rather than simple corruption, reshaping theory and practice across the Schola. |
| 10 Nonlun, 510 KF | Erindor IV. Erik Thislethorn’s daughter, Isolde, infiltrates the Order’s initiations, is caught, and almost executed by Ser Otto Eldeep, she is kept prisoner instead. Venator Dane undergoes his trials and strikes a dangereous deal with the hag Grimelda, securing the crucial info that will put the Order on the trail of Erik Thislethorn. The Royal Investigator’s inquiry escalates into open conflict with Venator Morgan, who defies a direct order, a violation of both law and the Order’s chain of command. |
| 17 Nonlun, 510 KF | A Marriage happens between members of House Blackfyre and House Heartflame. The young Vhallar Blackfyre is present and so is Ser Theron Heartflame. |
| 24 Nonlun, 510 KF | Erindor V. With the investigation ongoing and the Chaos Spot worsening, residents and Order members near the Questcamp are relocated to a nearby tavern. Wtiness reports claim that illegal Venator modifications are performed by Mage Dorian on Venators Morgan, Nunskat, and William... on the tavern floor, spoons and forks were used as crude tools appearently. The conflict between Morgan and the Royal Investigator turns violent, Venator Morgen strikes down the Royal Investigator. Morgan now risks corporal punishment on the King’s own order. Erik Thislethorn is captured; Ser Theron Heartflame executes him with a powerfull SMITE, shattering his body and the unnatural magics sustaining him. Dorian, Otto, William, and Nunskat help the now-fugitive Morgan escape. Ser Theron, Ser Vhallar Blackfyre (who did his trials of the order at the tavern), and Trial Master Ser Elmer Goluberis stay behind and give in their reports. |
| 28 Nonlun, 510 KF (a few days after Erindor V) | Ser Elmer Goluberis is arrested at his own estate on charges against the Kingdom. That same evening, he is broken free by Ser Theron Heartflame and Ser Vhallar Blackfyre, who thereby brand themselves criminals of the Crown. |
| ~29 Nonlun, 510 KF | Erindor VI: Fleeing to Voldonia. Theron, Elmer, and Vhallar Blackfyre flee the Kingdom in the direction of Piast, the Voldonian region to be excact. Venator Morgan and his accomplices, are last seen going into that direction too. Most of what follows happens on Voldonian soil, largely unknown to the Kingdom and the Order for now. |
| ~19 Declun, 510 KF | The investigation towards the crimes of Venator Morgan and his accomplices, continues with many testimonies from witnesses. For now the corporal punishment for Venator Morgan stands. Archmage Blackfyre attempts a coup within the Schola Arcanis, it is put down, but he escapes. An emergency council between the King, the Schola Arcanis, and the Order follows, triggering major reforms, still incomplete, with ongoing friction between the Justicars and the Schola over who now governs magical autonomy and safety in the realm. Princess Selwyn of House Highmoor, the first recognized “green” mage and the King’s youngest daughter, her identity long concealed for her safety, has clearly influenced her father and now helps lead the reforms, alongside former Order mentors: Mage Bethany and Archmage Valador Embersense. |
